Due to the fantastic response to the David Bowie Greatest Studio Album Poll, over 70 of you have voted, thank you, may I suggest that I bring the closing date forward.
Provided there is no opposition I will close the voting on Wednesday, January 11th (mid-night).
If anyone still wishes to vote, please pick your 5 favourite David Bowie STUDIO Albums, no Live or Compilation albums. Number 1-5 (5 points 1st choice to 1 point 5th choice) or if you can`t prioritise, pick up to 5 albums, (3 points each).
You can place your votes in the comments to this thread.

Tiggerlion says
Woops! God loves a trier.
Moose the Mooche says
So does Marx.
Sewer Robot says
Tell ‘im you’re voting for your mate Ben – seems to work😉
Baron Harkonnen says
It’s not gone unnoticed, the Poll Disciplinary Panel will be sitting next Monday to decide on what action to take. One of the penalties could be exchanging @tiggerlion‘s selection of Black Star for Pin Ups.
Mike_H says
Harsh but fair.
Tiggerlion says
Fortunately, I love Pin Ups almost as much.
Mousey says
THIS POLL IS RIGGED!!!
Baron Harkonnen says
F%@king Russians, it’ll be Match of the Day ‘Goal of the Month” next!
dai says
I was going to vote another 50 times to make sure the result was correct …
Baron Harkonnen says
All names of voters are registered, fact.
Mike_H says
Vote early and vote often.
My selections:
1. Station To Station
2. Hunky Dory
3. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders From Mars
Can’t decide between the rest that I’m familiar with and there are numerous others I’m not familiar enough with and a further load that I’ve not yet ever heard.
Tiggerlion says
You lucky, lucky man. I wish I could go back and start familiarising myself with Bowie’s oeuvre.
Baron Harkonnen says
Despite being around when D.B. first came to fame apart from the hit singles I didn’t really appreciate his music until the ’90’s. Then it was a friend who was a big fan who”d been trying to get me into D.B. finally succeeding. It’s too long a tale which albums I first started listening to and buying.
Ainsley says
Completely missed this !
1. Hunky Dory
2. Ziggy
3. Station to Station
4. Aladdin Sane
5=. Scary Monsters / 1.Outside

4. Aladdin Sane
5. ……er…. that’s it.
Baron Harkonnen says
Where`s all the votes for Tonight, Never Let Me Down, Black Tie White Noise, Earthling & Hours?
Tiggerlion says
How is Tin Machine doing? Or does it not count?
attackdog says
Tin Machine is not doing.
However, I was going to ask the same question. If TM is included that would alter my entry. (Although I doubt it would make much impression on the overall score).
Baron Harkonnen says
Solo albums as stated in the original thread. I thought I’d posted that comment on the original thread, I had two windows open while I was collating the votes. Some interesting outcomes.
SteveT says
@ Baron Harkonnen you don’t make much sense – all David Bowie albums by their very nature are solo albums. a Tin Machine album is by a band called Tin Machine and shouldn’t be included in this poll.
Your post on favourite Tin Machine albums is highly anticipated.
Tiggerlion says
I’m voting for Oy Vey, Baby.
Moose the Mooche says
WRONG! As of the 1999 reissues Tin Machine 1 is listed as a David Bowie album.
https://www.discogs.com/David-Bowie-Tin-Machine-Tin-Machine/release/7042223
The others aren’t.
DogFacedBoy says
Is the hoary old rock anecdote about the interviews for Tin Machine album press junket true?
In that they were told that Tin Machine were a band not just a David Bowie project and were all to be asked questions. So one of the journos enters the room and says “ok, who’s the singer?”
Baron Harkonnen says
What you f&@k about @stevet? Nowhere have I said that `Tin Machine` was a solo album. The poll is for David Bowie SOLO STUDIO albums.
Now go back to sleep you old coot!
Iain McKinney says
1. Station To Station
2. Young Americans
3. Scary Monsters
4. Diamond Dogs
5. Hunky Dory
corganiser says
Not sure I understand what is supposed to be happening. Just voted on the old thread so have pasted here in case that is what is supposed to be happening.
1 – Ziggy
2 – Hunky D
3 – Heroes (or earoles as I’ve always known it)
4 – Aladdin
5 – Let’s Dance
Baron Harkonnen says
It`s OK @corganiser, this thread was posted to bring the closing date forward due to the response (v. good) from the AW`s. I`ve already got your selections on the spreadsheet, thanks.
Tiggerlion says
See. I wasn’t the only one to get confused. Perhaps the overview and scrutiny committee should disqualify corganiser’s vote for Hunky Dory and insert Blackstar instead?
corganiser says
Come come, I wasn’t entirely comfortable admitting that his career stretched as far as Let’s Dance.
Askwith says
1) Aladdin Sane
2) The Chameleon Chronicles Volume 2
3) Hunky Dory
4) Low
Baron Harkonnen says
No boots, so I`ll place Low as 3rd.
